Who We Are
In 1977, John Farney knew one thing about his career- he didn't want to work in an office. Beginning with a few pieces of equipment, John built a company specializing in outdoor work. More importantly, he built a reputation of doing the job right the first time, without "cutting corners" or taking shortcuts. Today, Farney Tree, based in northern NY's Lewis County, operates across the northeast performing land clearing, excavation, tree removal, site preparation, snow removal, and storm restoration.

What We Do
We specialize in cutting trees, clearing brush, and moving earth. From finish mowers that can leave a grassy area ready for a picnic to excavator-mounted chippers that can reduce full-grown trees to mulch, we're prepared to clear, thin, or prune the vegetation on your site. Perhaps you're looking to improve the view of your building or complex, or manage brush growth along fence lines, roads, or paths. We can clear large areas, build woods-roads, or mow hedge rows or the areas surround existing cleared spaces.

One the vegetation is cleared, we are prepared to remove stumps, grade building sites, erect silt fence, and excavate to prepare the site for the next contractor.

And, when a building is damaged beyond repair or has reached the end of its useful life, we can assist with its removal, hauling away debris in our walking-floor trailers. We have also served as FEMA sub-contractors assisting in storm damage cleanup.
